A message from the National Policy and Platform Committee

The National Policy and Platform (NPEP) Committee welcomes you to the 2012 Biennial Convention online policy process.

While the 2012 Biennial Convention is concentrating on rebuilding, it is also vital that we process the resolutions that Liberals across Canada have prepared.  This is your opportunity to participate in the policy process in preparation for the 2012 Biennial Convention.

All the resolutions that have been submitted by the Provincial and Territorial Associations (PTAs), the Commissions and Caucus have been separated into 15 various categories.

All Canadians will be able to read the resolutions but only Liberals Party members are invited to comment on them and express their support by clicking the “vote” button on their preferred resolutions.

Liberal Party of Canada (LPC) members are encouraged to participate in the Party’s policy development process by logging into the policy section to have the opportunity to discuss and debate resolutions and view which resolutions receive the most support.

Not a Party member yet?  No problem!  Click on Join the Party and add your voice to the debate.

There will be a live count of the votes each resolution receives and as the discussion goes on you will still have the option to remove your vote should you change your mind. In order to keep you informed, we will be listing the top resolutions within each category.

The resolution with the most votes in each category will be considered the priority resolution and will be addressed at the Biennial Convention Policy Plenary session.  The deadline to register your votes for each category’s priority resolution is November 30, 2011.

For questions or clarifications, please refer to the About the Process page or  write to policy@liberal.ca.

We wish to thank all LPC members for their engagement in the policy process.  The LPC is stronger because of your engagement.
